AZ Armed Security Guard Refresher w/ Special Pistol Topics

This course is designed for those who have completed AZCSN Intermediate Handgun and requires instructor approval. 

Prior to the course students must complete the four hour online classroom instruction. 

There is no such thing as an advanced gunfight. There are only advanced shooters who understand the basics and practice them religiously. This course is intended for the shooter who is already safe with a pistol in a 360*, populated area and who can deliver on-demand hits at conversational distances. Accordingly, a modified Armed Guard qualification will be shot at the beginning of class and without warm-up. We will then cover a wide range of topics, preparing the student to drill and refine the skills on his own. Topics to be covered include: bypassing body armor and suicide vests beyond pure self-defense distances; further examination of non-standard shooting positions; and extreme close quarters shooting and weapon retention.

Course Objectives:

-Participants will continue to develop and demonstrate firearm safety while integrating movement and practicing the firearms safety rules.

-Participants will engage threats to bypass body armor at common sanctuary distances.

-Participants will engage targets from non-standard positions at common parking lot distances.
