Domestic violence is one of the top three causes of deadly force incidents at faith based organizations in the United States. We will identify the prevalence of DV in the country and specifically churches in the US. We will discuss ways we can increase awareness, formulate policies and procedures while respecting individuals privacy and protecting the church’s members and staff. The course includes discussion of the potential responses to domestic violence incidents occurring at churches and schools.
